My Cedarsong Grove Necklace
and
Portable Shrine
This
is my Cedarsong grove necklace. Each stone in the necklace represents at least
one important aspect of my belief. The stones used are listed below. The
necklace is built out of sets of 3 8mm beads, with 100 white jade beads spacing
every 3 sets of 3 beads.
Set One (The Grove) One Rutilated Quartz flanked by two Petrified
Wood beads. The necklace holds 8 set of these stones to represent the eight
High days.
Petrified Wood: The Petrified Wood is a representation
of the grove itself, I though of using cedar wood beads but decided to go with Petrified
Wood for durability. It is good for grounding and stabilizing one's emotions.
It is particularly useful in calming survival-based fears. Petrified wood is a
good stone for general protection. Petrified wood is also used for past life
regressions because of its inherent link with the past.
Rutilated Quartz: This represents Perkūnas, one of the gods
that the grove often works with. He is currently not one of my patrons, but it
is a relationship I am open to, and may happen in the future. It is used for
meditation, spiritual communications, and dream work. It is particularly good
for seeking higher spiritual experiences and meditation. Rutilated quartz is
also used metaphysically to deflect negative energies and unwanted energetic,
psychic, and magickal interferences.
Set Two (Sigyn’s Set) One Citrine flanked by two Green
Garnet beads.
Citrine: This is the stone that
represents me, it is both my birthstone, and my power stone, it is also
associated with my Chinese zodiac symbolIt is a solar plexus chakra stone used
metaphysically to increase, magnify and clarify personal power and energy.
Personal Power stone. Citrine is a fabulous stone to use to combat negative
energy of any kind.
Green Garnet: This is the stone I choose to
represent Sigyn, she who is my Patron among the Norse gods. Garnet is
associated primarily with the root chakra, but also with the heart chakra. It is used to balance, purify, align and
remove negative energy from all the chakras and aura.
Set Two (Enki’s Set) One Citrine flanked by two Green Garnet beads.
Blue Lace This is the stone I choose to associate with Enki.
It represents spiritually,
Agates: blue lace agate assists in flight, grace,
reaching higher Spiritual planes, communicating with angels and activates the
throat chakra
White Jade: These nine beads represent the nine virtues of the ADF, The jade helps me to direct my energy to its most advantageous
outlet. It Helps filter out distraction and allows me to envision the best
result of a given situation.
The Drop Pendant The Pendant itself is a gift from my grove and it is a
sister pendant to those that adorn the necklaces of my other grove mates. Above
the pendant is a single Jade, Citrine, and a Carnelian.
Carnelian: This represents Gabija, she is
the deity of the domestic fireplace, and protects the home. There is only one
of these beads as they disappeared as I was assembling the necklace and appeared
only when I was working on the drop. I took this as an omen, and choose to place
only one on the necklace. It can aid memory, including recall of past lives. It
can assist one in finding the right mate. It is also a stone of protection in
general and from anger, jealousy and fear. In addition it can help with
manifestation of one's desires, and brings good luck
As a portable Shrine: With the stones that are on this
necklace, it can work in a pinch as a portable shrine. The petrified wood is a
representation of the Tree, blue
lace agate ties in with the well, and the Carnelian is a stone associated with
fire. With it also tying into my grove, my gods, and myself I could layout the
necklace and place offering inside it, if I need an altar on the go.
