This is my work for the Diva Weekly Challenge
No. 84 "String Theory v. XI: Blind-Sighted". At first I
was going to draw the outside borders then do just the string “Blind”, but I
decided to do all the pencil marks blind. So I closed my eyes and began
drawing, once I had marks for my tile, I opened my eyes and began to tangle. As
this is my first Diva’s challenge I decided I wanted to do more traditional
tiles filling each area with a different tangle, as I learned in my 1st
Zentangle® class.
For those of you unfamiliar with Zentangle, the string is a line or
series of lines you draw on the tile, which serves a number of purposes:
- First it removes the fear of an empty tile
- It acts as a Guide
- It gives you separate sections to work in
First the string....
And the finished Tile....
Roy, welcome to the challenge. I think the string you closed your eyes to produce was the beginning of a really wonderful tile! Will look forward to seeing more challenges in the future!
